Dogtoons -Chapter 1 - Monty's diary of the photoshoot with Keogh and Magic

I recall a colleague of mine, film director Gerry Lively, of Hollywood USA, telling me “Monty, the golden rule of filming is never work with ABC – Animals, Boats, Children ”. However, I don’t think of me, or my mates, Keogh and Magic, as animals, per say. So just to prove Gerry wrong I made a little diary of my latest photo shoot. When my agent booked us recently for a film session I heard him telling the acclaimed cinematographer, Bryan Lofftus - [Bryan, by-the-by, is at present in Ireland, working on the film “BOTCHED”, directed by Kit Ryan] - that wired haired Fox Terriers and Alaskan Malamutes can hit really hit their marks. We might have our awkward moments but we are in control. I cannot comment on the cat’s performance for contractual reasons.

DOG TOONS

Monty 2006

So, what do you think chaps? Aren’t we great!
A good friend of mine happens to be the film director, Kit Ryan, who is shooting a horror feature titled “13”. Our agent has said there are possible roles for two fierce-looking dogs and a demonic cat so I plan to audition for the part of the small fierce dog who gets run over by the robbers getaway car. Playing dead is one of my better tricks so this
part has my name on it. See you in the movies.
cheerio Monty
ps I have been busy writing a book on my adventures living in Ireland. the title is "Faux Paws". so keep a lookout for it in the book shops.
pps the copyright of Monty's 'Dogtoons' and Keogh's 'Dogtales' belongs to A.A.Morrall, 2006.
